How We Helped a Waco Wellness Clinic Transform Its Local Marketing Presence

See how Tried-and-True Content Marketing Drove 66% More Calls and Major Awareness Gains.

Allied Wellness Centers, a chiropractic and wellness clinic in Waco, TX, needed a marketing reset at the start of 2025.

Previous tactics weren’t moving the needle, and they needed a solution to market their array of services, which includes chiropractic care, regenerative medicine and IV therapy, among others.

Our star social media guru and chief photo/video producer, Audrey, was officially hired by Allied in May to handle content creation and oversee a broader local marketing strategy. Nolan was responsible for all SEO/AI search elements of the strategy.

Results at a glance:

  • Google Business Profile grew significantly year-over-year: +81% interactions, +66% calls, +60% website clicks. Time period: August 2025 - December 2025.

  • 572 new followers between Instagram and Facebook, with a combined 9,505 interactions between the two platforms.

  • Website page views grew 79% y/y and total organic keywords increased by 417%.

  • Ran promotions, specials and participated in local events and charitable endeavors, like Toys for Tots, which resulted in massive amounts of donations from the Waco community!

  • Local mentions and awards: Wacoan (Best Chiropractor), Locals Love Us (Best Chiropractor, Therapeutic Massage), Waco Tribune-Hearald and WacoBuzz. Additions to key local directories were also accomplished.

  • Joined the Chamber of Commerce and threw an awesome ribbon-cutting ceremony. The charcuterie cups (s/o Audrey for the idea) were a massive hit.

5 Key Pillars of Our Local Marketing Strategy With Allied

At the local level, businesses have to connect with the community to stand out.

We built on the idea of local connection to develop a modern local marketing strategy that delivers bottom-line results.

This meant covering all areas of organic local marketing. Paid ads were not our primary focus for this client, so we focused entirely on local marketing to drive awareness and, more importantly, bring new business through the doors.

  1. SEO/AI Search

Most local businesses still acquire most of their new clients through Google (though this will continue to shift as AI search grows in popularity).

Which is why one of our central components for Allied was growing their Google Business Profile (GBP), arguably your most important local digital marketing asset.

We significantly grew Allied’s GBP, including a 66% increase in calls, by:

  • Completely optimizing their profile, including their primary/secondary categories and list of services.

  • Running multiple Google review campaigns, which saw their reviews jump from the 90s to almost 400 as we sit today (this helped them jump from around the Top 10 in Google’s Map Pack to the Top 3-5 for chiropractic in their primary service areas).

  • Ensuring their website was as aligned as possible with their GBP services from an SEO perspective.

  • Posting once a week on the profile.

  • Adding original, high-quality, geo-tagged photos to the profile.

    2. Social Media

When we started with Allied, their Instagram account had 21 followers and was built largely on AI-generated content that received little engagement.

Audrey came in and completely transformed the style and content, incorporating a social media strategy grounded in current trends, genuine, educational content and testimonials from real patients.

She took a hands-on approach, including weekly filming sessions with the staff (who have grown way more comfortable on camera over time; kudos to the Allied Team!).

In addition to Instagram and Facebook, Audrey also posts on YouTube and TikTok.

Here are a few highlights - we’d encourage you to go to Allied’s Instagram and have a look. You’ll learn some key health tips and have a few laughs!

3. Promotions and Events

We ran multiple successful free service-based promotions, including giveaways with free massage incentives that helped drive Google reviews.

Also, we helped coordinate their Patient Appreciation Week, which generated 100+ new patients for the clinic.

One of the highlights of the year was the ribbon-cutting event for the new center, which Audrey organized.

It received a greater-than-average turnout for a ribbon-cutting and people were buzzin’ about the unique touches (spine pens and charcuterie cups were the favorites).

4. Community Building

One of our chief goals of this local marketing campaign was to get Allied’s name out in the community.

This included:

  • Heavily marketing their local awards in The Wacoan and Locals Love Us.

  • Getting a featured ad spot in the Waco Tribune-Herald’s print and digital editions and a 30-second local radio spot.

  • Inclusion in the WacoBuzz’s 24 Days of Xmas’ Giveaway.

  • Adding Allied to key local medical and chiropractic directories.

  • Initiating charitable endeavors, including displaying Toys for Tots boxes at the clinic during the Holidays.

These efforts positioned Allied as an active, trusted presence in the Waco community.

5. Email Marketing

Email marketing has been a more recent tactic we’ve implemented at Allied.

Since they offer many services, there is a major opportunity to advertise additional services to increase return visits and awareness.

We will be incorporating email prominently into our 2026 marketing plans for the clinic.

A Local Marketing Strategy Built to Connect and Convert

We helped grow Allied’s local marketing presence by doing real marketing for real people. With technology rampant, people value personal connections more and more nowadays.

Key learnings from this campaign:

  • Lead with authentic, original content to build trust and authority with your audience. Use AI to help brainstorm and drive efficiency, but make content for humans!

  • Be strategic and data-driven with your content. Don’t just make something because it sounds good. Be purposeful and bold in your content creation.

  • Get out of your office and into the community! Set up booths at local events, go to chamber meet-ups, sponsor a baseball team, look for partnerships with other businesses; whatever aligns most with your business. These are huge for community building.

“Working with Audrey & Nolan has been a game-changer for our business! They transformed our marketing, handling everything from promotions, community engagement and social media to SEO optimization for our website and Google Business Profile. They significantly boosted our visibility, leading to a 66% increase in calls in just 6 months, and deeply connected us with the broader Waco, TX community. We couldn’t be happier with the impact they’ve made!”
